Seeds are grown, and workers wait until the leaves are mature enough to use. After this, they are carefully picked and cured in order to develop proper flavor.

Workers will find the right mix of leaves, after harvesting, drying, pressing them, before rolling them into cigars. In a factory tour, you may even try your own method of rolling a cigar! After being rolled tightly, the cigars must then be properly pressed, binded and wrapped. Many are also aged to give ripe flabor.

If you are visiting the Dominican Republic and a fan of cigars, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity you’ll want to be sure not to miss! You can even visit a gift shop after and pick up some special cigars to help you remember the occasion!
